The coconut shell charcoal manufacturing process is mainly divided into pretreating, feeding, coconut shell charcoal carbonizing and discharging processes.

Drying Coconut Shell & Crushing Coconut Shell

If the coconut shell has large moisture and size, it needs to be processed by a dryer and crusher. Processed coconut shells can be carbonized faster and better. Finally, customers will get high-quality coconut shell charcoal to do business.

Feeding Coconut Shells

Beston provides three kinds of feeding methods, including manual feeding method, automatic screw feeder, and hydraulic feeder. We take an automatic feeder as an example. The coconut shell is delivered into the coconut shell charcoal making reactor automatically by conveyor.

Carbonizing Coconut Shell into Charcoal

After preheating the furnace, with temperature increasing, the reaction of coconut shell pyrolysis starts. When the temperature reaches 300-600 degrees, coconut charcoals are made. Then biogas, tar, and wood vinegar are generated. This process takes 15-20 minutes.

Discharging Carbonized Coconut Shells

The final coconut shell charcoal will be discharged at the end of the reactor by a three-stage water-cooling discharger. The temperature of the final charcoal is under 45 degrees. Accordingly, it is safe to move and store coconut shell charcoal.

Combustible Gas Recovery

The combustible gases from the main furnace will be recovered and reused through a cyclone de-dusting system and water seal. The recycled bio-gas can be used for heating the reactor directly. It helps to reduce the fuel cost and make full use of thermal energy.

Gas Emission Treatment

The exhaust gas emitted from the main furnace will be treated by the exhaust gas treatment system to meet European exhaust emission standards. The exhaust gas treatment system includes a cyclone de-dusting system, water spray, ceramic ring absorption, and defogging plate.
