Continuous Charcoal Production Process

Biomass carbonization refers to the reaction process of biomass waste’s thermal decomposition in anaerobic conditions. This charcoal pyrolysis process can convert all sorts of biomass waste into charcoal in a short time. Normally, it only needs 15-20 minutes. Besides, in this process, we can get some by-products, such as combustible gas, wood vinegar and tar. Accordingly, this technology increases the utilization rate of biomass waste and generates more benefits for customers. Beston’s fast carbonization technology is efficient. Now, we describe the continuous charcoal making process. When the charcoal processing machine feeds materials on one side, the charcoal will generate on the other side. Pretreatment Process

When customers take continuous type, there are some requirements for raw materials. If the size of raw materials is larger than 2.5cm, the raw materials need to be crushed into small pieces. If the water of materials is more than 15%, the materials need to be dried.

Feeding Raw Materials

Put waste into the screw feeder by the conveyor. Then, the feeder delivers the waste into a charcoal carbonization furnace.

Charcoal Making Process & Discharging

Heat the reactor. When the temperature reaches 150 degrees, the carbonization process starts. Some raw materials will be broken down into CO, CO2, and little wood vinegar. When the temperature is up to 350 degrees, the complex reaction begins. And the charcoal is constantly generated. Some other materials are also produced, including CH4, H2, wood vinegar, tar and, ethanol.

Dedusting Process

There is high-temperature smoke with harmful materials. After being processed by a flue condenser and de-dusting system (water washing, water spray and ceramic ring adsorption), smoke can meet European emission requirements. Ane it can be directly discharged.
